Bob Novick of White Oak Forest Products will lead us through a hands-on workshop that explores all dimensions of operating a small, portable sawmill at both homestead and commercial levels. Topics include: sourcing and moving logs, safety considerations, sawing techniques, choosing what to mill, maintenance and operating costs, considerations for buying or renting a mill, marketing boards etc.
